ABOUT KNEP

Kanlayaneesithammarat School is one of the biggest and most prestigeous government high schools in Southern Thailand. Located at the heart of Nakhon Si Thammarat City, it is home to more than 3,000 young learners from all over the province and even beyond.

 

​The English Program of the school is formed to encourage students to love English and to actually see its importance and role in their growth.

 

This program, referred to as KNEP, provides education to Mattayom 1 through Mattayom 6 students. In addition to the academic programs, KNEP offer enrichment programs, cultural immersions, summer courses and numerous skills development opportunities.

 

KNEP has a long history of excellence as evidenced by the awards it received from various organizations and awarding bodies.

The core values of KNEP are clearly acknowledged and shared by every member of the program. We believe in respect, opportunity, commitment, growth and excellence.

We at KNEP uphold our aims to:

 

  • produce individuals with high moral standards, sense of responsibility, emotional and intellectual maturity, and broad knowledge

  • ensure that every single student gets the best possible education whilst at the same time having a happy, safe and enjoyable experience

  • mold the students to become good and inspiring leaders of the future.

Our program was first set up in 1999 as a reponse to the awareness of its importance and to the growing need for Thai students to communicate in English and become competitive. During our first year, there was  just one classroom and only a handful of students. 

 

Since then our program has expanded immensely, first into a purpose-built building with a staff of only five and just three classrooms. Then, four years ago, after further expansion we moved into our present building with eight fully equipped classrooms, a computer lab, music room, library and a brand new office allowing plenty of space for the staff.

 

Our staff, all experienced and qualified in their roles now each have their own work stations with desktop computers, a full range of resources and a laptop to enable them to give more interactive lessons.

 

For fourteen years of existence, our program has produced a lot of successful individuals who are now working everywhere in Thailand and abroad. And today, over 300 students are studying with us who are looking forward to a brighter future.
